2 Corinthians 10:4

the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God

to the pulling down of strong holds.

Our warfare is not carnal but spiritual. We are fighting against strong-hold infiltrated by principalities and rulers of darkness. They hover over countries, cities, families, and individuals keeping the people blind to the truth. The people are not enemies, but victims, prisoners of war, slaves, and puppets influenced by demons. Fighting spiritual warfare with carnal weapons makes us powerless, no matter how valiant the effort is. Our carnal weapons have no spiritual authority.

Jesus asked, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? Peter answered Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. The Lord said, flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. The revelation came from the Father with great blessing and responsibilities. That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

God has chosen us to be His church and equipped us with spiritual authority to engage in warfare. In the flesh, keys lock and unlock doors. However, spiritual keys empower us to bind and lose things in heaven and earth. We are the gatekeeper, depending on our involvement in the fight will determine the destiny of the war.

Remember, unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required. God told us to put on His whole armor, not so we can be spectators, but to fight a good fight of faith. The war is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Keep in mind there was a time when we were prisoners of war until someone lay down their lives through prayer so we may live. Now is our turn to become a living sacrifice and lay down our lives through prayer that someone else may live. As believers, we must be doers of the Word of God and not hearers only. Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, but to disobey is rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.

Brethren, the spiritual warfare will not end until the return of Christ. There are many victims and prisoners of war from none believers, believers, families, and friends. God has given us the ability to stand and fight on their behalf. However, will you obey and answer the call to war, or will you disobey and be a spectator?
