Romans 14:11
As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and
every tongue shall confess to God.
There are two inevitable events that will occur to each person on this earth. They are unavoidable and inescapable. The first is, as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.Second, each person will eventually acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord. Our beliefs concerning the afterlife are irrelevant as the Word of God is the only thing that matters.
On the earth there are two kinds of people. First, there are true believers who have bowed their knee and confessed Jesus Christ’s lordship. Second, there are non-believers who refuse to acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord. The non-believers will go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
God created the heavens and the earth in six days and on the seventh day he rested. Jesus said, I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. It has been over two thousand years since Jesus made that promise to us. We cannot even begin to imagine what waits for us in eternity. Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Hell is completely the opposite. The torments of hell are magnified beyond measure and the horrors that await the damned are unimaginable. Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.
Consider this verse, As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. There are no charitable works of righteousness that will be good enough to save yourself from the pending doom. This inescapable deathquickly approaches those who are lost in sin. Only the grace of God can save us. Oh sinner, I implore you to grab hold of this precious promise from the Word of God and escape from the wrath to come! And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He promised whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Our salvation from the coming judgment is completely dependent on us bowing our knee and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord.
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. On judgment day Jesus will be our advocate and represent us faultless before the Father. Only His blood will be the barrier that will shield us from the wrath to come. Those that refused to acknowledge Him as Lord will stand before God by themselves. On earth they rejected Jesus Christ, now God in His wrath will reject them. As it is written every soul will bow their knee and confess Jesus Christ is Lord, whether or not they accepted Him during their earthly lives.
Dear friend, there are only two choices. Bow and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior now while there is still time, or you can wait until later in the afterlife. Confess Him now and our merciful Father will receive you unto Himself. If you are too late, God in His anger will reject you.
