Song of Solomon 7:10
I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me.
The great craving of the heart is to be loved unconditionally. Many seek and search for ways to satisfy their emptiness. The divine working of the Holy Spirit is to prepare our hearts for the Lord. God created the longing in our hearts, and only He can satisfy its emptiness.
There is a divine council in heaven between God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost, and they came into an everlasting covenant concerning the church. We are the church and were chosen before time began to be the bride of Christ: an eternal gift from God the Father to Jesus Christ the Son. The Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. Jesus demonstrated His love for us by descending to earth, suffering, and dying on the cross in our stead. He has provided everything necessary for His bride: salvation, protection, provision, guidance, and his banner over me was love. His love and desire for us are eternal.
His goodness and mercies will follow us for the rest of our lives on earth. Everything that is allowed to come to us is motivated and orchestrated by His love. Our journey on earth is for the Holy Spirit to prepare hearts without spot or wrinkle,to prepare the bride of Christ.
The invitation was sent to the church: Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. Come, highly favored of the Lord, you who are chosen by God to be the bride of Christ. There is nothing this world has to offer that shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Temptations will rise to entice our hearts through the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Some will stumble and fall due to the weakness of flesh; However, God said; Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Perhaps the most astonishing question is, Why did the Lord choose us? The heavens are not clean in his sight, and I was shaped in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. It’s safe to confess that our human nature repels His holy presence. Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. However, God chooses us because He is in love with us.
Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes. Though far from perfect, yet we are chosen to be the bride of Christ. There are blemishes in our lives indicating that the work is not complete; However, he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Gradually the craving of our hearts is being filled by His Love. I can confidently testify, My beloved is mine, and I am his.
