Revelation 17:1-2

I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants

of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

The great whore has forsaken her love to be with another for money. Countless are ensnared and intoxicated by her promiscuous ways. Driven by greed and power she has compromised her conscience to obtain her heart's desires. Anyone that entangles themselves with her will soon become drunken and inattentive in their ways. Who is she? she is the church that has gone astray from her first love.

The scriptures tell us that every tree is known by his own fruit. Therefore, it is crucial to know the difference between the church of Jesus and the church of the great whore. Each church will produce fruits of itself declaring who they are.

Consider what Jesus said about His church. "That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it". And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. My house shall be called the house of prayer. Jesus is building His church with power and authority. His church will prevail through all of the attacks from the great whore and her hellish ways. God's people will not be conformed to this world, neither compromise their godly principals. God allowed them access before His presence and through prayer they have the ability to do the impossible.

The great whore has a different way of doing church. Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. Equipped with worldly credentials and man's approval, they chose to be the voice of God. Instead of humility, their hearts are filled with arrogance and greed. Taught by the world, their church operates like a well organized business. They use the name of Jesus to collect tithes, offering, gifts and donations for every occasion. They often sound like beggars asking for alms in the street. Jesus said, ''freely ye have received, freely give". Freely they received wisdom from above, however they wrote it in a book, published it and charged for it. Worldly entertainment and activities are used in the name of Jesus to attract the unconverted. This church is filled with many kinds of attractions and activities to keep the people. However, this church is prayer-less, power-less and has no discernment from the Holy Ghost. This church has everything, but it is not the house of prayer the way Jesus intended it to be.

Jesus walked in the temple and was furious at what He saw. The church compromised her ways and became the apostate church. If you do not approve of what you are seeing in the church today, can you imagine how Jesus feels? Hear the message from the angel of Heaven. Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
